Binty - nothing personal. I just knew I already had a version of you looking surprised somewhere so it was easiest if you got shot first. Besides, you're well enough loved by everyone that I thought it would create more impact
EL B - praise indeed
FMC - thank you
A-B - I appreciate you coming out of retirement to comment, but if you're still in conflict with SafeT then you'll just have to shoot some innocent bystander to teach him a lesson
Shebah - now that would be interesting
HappyKat - you can tug anything you like at me and I'll take it as a mark of respect :)
Thanks Sarah - I reduced the saturation and lightness in each successive background.
Lindy - high praise, thank you
SafeTinspector - I hated doing it. It was quite an emotional experience putting blood, crosses on the eyes, piles of ash etc on to all the characters, especially rileybot. The point being that in war it is the innocent who are hurt.
There can never be any justification for the killing of children for people's political or economic beliefs and prejudices, and I really wanted to get that point across.
This is the end...bum bum bum, My only friend...the end, Of every thing alive the end,
Yes, well done indeed Kim.
The Israelis are using up their ammo so quick that the Americans are flying it in as fast as possible, using us to refuel. Does that make us accessories before the fact or something. What if we said no like the Irish (and the rest of Europe)?
In a minute of Catch22ishness, I wondered why Binty was the first to be shot.

Excellent, and so topical...
...and I'm going to get Footsie back for making me the first casualty! (or would I then just be missing the point...?)
Fucking hell Kim. I didn't know whether to laugh or throw up. That's first class shit
Seems a perfect summing up to me.
You nailed it in one Kim,cooked it to perfection.
B.t w.,I wish to object to being placed on the same side as the Tin Man.
Absolutely spot on, Kim. It should be printed on a full page in colour in every newspaper in the world, translated in every language.
Excellent. Kim, you did sum it up nicely.
Female equivalent of a Beard Tug to you, sir.
(what is the female equivalent of a beard tug, anyway?)

Happykat... questions like that are just plain dangerous! Fnar!!
...although I suppose for you a whisker-tug may be deemed appropriate!
holy hell on earth!
well done. and i feel a tad ill as well.
(well done)
oh and.. you transitioned VERY well, very subtle but it added to the mood and light of the topic.
Very funny!
I feel as if my metal carapace should've allowed me to survive the first round of killings...
Spot on, Kim -- that was great. I seriously doubt anyone could've said it better!
Huzzah
Hey! I just noticed they killed Rileybot! YOU BASTARDS!

For anyone who's not read it, I wrote about my thoughts behind this strip on my own blog:
War! What is it Good For? Absolutely Nothing!
Wow Kim, that is excellent.

Thanks Stella.
Doc, there was no deeper meaning behind Binty being first other than my reply above (7th comment).
Gosh...I'm going to have to send in another barely coherant strip script if nothing pops up soon!
If only people who behave this way could see themselves as they truly are....
